About the event

Musician Kathryn Patricia Cobbler will guide older adult participants through this multidisciplinary workshop, drawing correlations between music and painting. While listening to different atmospheric pieces played by Kathryn with her viola, participants will paint landscapes and reflect on people, places and images that inspire them to tell their life stories. Participants will learn painting techniques and reflect on the music and type of imagery they experience.

About the presenter: Hailing from Canada’s Capital region, loop pedal violist, composer, and arranger Kathryn Patricia Cobbler has crafted a singular niche in improvisation and classical performance. Recognized as an in-demand artist, she has been featured in the Ottawa region’s most notable Concert Series, including Music & Beyond, Shenkman Arts Centre, Music at Southminster, and Ottawa New Music Creators' Analogue Series.
